Brive Christmas Market, a magical experience to be had in Corrèze

The magic of Christmas takes over this lively city from November 28, 2025, immersing you in the festive atmosphere until January 3, 2026. Located at the foot of the media library on Place Charles-de-Gaulle in the city center, Brive's Christmas market is a must-see in the Corrèze region, an event eagerly awaited by young and old alike, who are always captivated by its beauty. Between illuminations, parades, concerts, and a visit from Santa Claus, the end of the year promises to be filled with emotion, as the Corrèze Guide will show you.

There is no shortage of treats during this festive season. While chocolate and foie gras are the stars of the table, other equally tempting dishes can be found at the Brive Christmas market stalls, such as cheese (the raclette sandwich is to die for), pretzels (salted or sweet), charcuterie (some flavored with truffle), seafood… Not forgetting the traditional mulled wine, crepes and donuts which make for a wonderful gourmet break.

The Christmas magic is complemented by several concerts organized in the market starting at 5 p.m.:

• Wednesday, December 10th and 17th
• Friday, December 19th and 26th
• Saturdays December 13, 20 and 27

The must-see Christmas rides in Brive

The spices of mulled wine won't be the only thing to make your head spin this holiday season! Every year, Brive delights young and old alike with its giant rides and winter fairgrounds, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere. Climb aboard the traditional horses and let yourself be captivated by the unique festive ambiance.

There are two of them located in the city center and they have a few surprises in store for you. Open from 2pm to 8pm, they charge €5.

The winter funfair

It is installed from December 6, 2025 to January 4, 2026 in the Place du 14 Juillet. Decorated in Christmas colours, it delights children as much as parents who enjoy the activities during the school holidays:

• Friday and Saturday from 2pm to 8pm
• Other days from 2pm to 7pm

Brive at Christmas, a grand and incredible parade

Held for several years now in downtown Brive, the Grand Christmas Parade is an unforgettable spectacle that begins on Boulevard Koenig and ends on Place du 14 Juillet. Lights, decorations, costumes, music, dance, song… Every second is a wonder that immerses you in the magic of Christmas. Keep your eyes wide open so you don't miss a thing; some fifty artists parade through the streets of Brive, spreading the enchantment of the holidays along their route.

The arrival of Father Christmas in Brive, star of the holiday season

What would Christmas be without its famous Santa Claus? Dressed in his red and white suit, he grabs his sack (perhaps full of gifts?...) and prepares a surprise arrival on December 6, 2025, at the foot of the Brive Lighthouse. Get ready and look around, Santa Claus can be unpredictable! Ho ho ho, here he comes! Follow him to his magical chalet in the city center to climb onto his lap and slip him your wish list. After a kiss on his long white beard, smile for the traditional photo and keep this precious memory as a magical moment. You're in luck, Santa Claus is also in his winter quarters during the Brive Christmas Market!

Brive Christmas Market: A variety of entertainment not to be missed

Brive's city center isn't the only place illuminated by the magic of Christmas. Other neighborhoods also invite you to join them at the end of the year to experience the enchantment of the holidays with creative displays, delicious treats, shows, and illuminations.

• Jacques Cartier Square hosts makeup booths, selfie stations, a food chalet, and offers creative workshops.
• Nelson Mandela Square organizes games, workshops, sports tournaments, charity sales, reading times… With the presence of a mini-farm, a selfie booth and a horse-drawn carriage.
• The Rivet district offers lively afternoon teas with Christmas carols, pony rides, inflatable structures, giant games and Christmas murals with creative exhibitors and a selfie booth.

Shopkeepers are also getting involved by organizing festive and musical parades during the holiday period, as is the media library which offers creative workshops and shows for children.
