  Hello everyone, I wanted to share with you my experience following the stay at Camping du Malpas. I went to this campsite in Argentat in the Dordogne, with my partner and our two children from August 30 to September 6 inclusive. So many things to say about this place and not only positively. It is already categorized as a campsite, four stars but we are very far from four stars. Firstly, when we arrived at the base, we should have made an inventory which we did not do because the lady who received us was pregnant up to her neck, so she did not carry out the classic procedure or the registration of our arrival. Our bungalow was in a disastrous state. In addition to being old, it was very dirty, barely having taken off my shoes my feet were black, as if the cleaning had not been done. The many gigantic spiders that we found daily in the mobile home terrified us and we had to put plates under the vents so that it would not enter the mobile home and put big tape on the ceiling vents as well. When we left, we removed everything and we were scared to see that it was ruined, the creature trying to get through. As a result, we made the decision to leave the campsite three days beforehand because it was so unbearable. Moreover, with two young children, one of whom has a phobia of spiders. It was not possible to stay there any longer. The mobile home is very, very poorly insulated. Three-quarters. It rained all the time, so it was very cold and the two days when it was super beautiful, it was very hot. The campsite, which, I remind you, does not have air conditioning and only one heater in the living room and kitchen area. Mobile home in addition to that, gives off a nauseating odor from the pipes of the shower cabin, as well as the toilets which are on a septic tank. The proposed activities are not respected. On the site they sell us the merit of a heated swimming pool all year round. However, I learned with amazement that the campsite was closing permanently for the season on September 20. My nine and a half year old daughter, after her courage tomorrow to go swimming in water that is around 18° and still supposedly the thermostat of the swimming pool was broken and that it would be fixed soon while we knew that was false because the season was over at their place. They are doing false advertising. The snack restaurant area is deserted, the dishes offered are extremely expensive and bland, I advise you not to eat there. No activities for children. No activities for adults except one Tuesday evening a pseudo concert which attracted about twenty people maximum. The campsite is quite far from the city center, you have to take your car because it is located in the middle of the forest. This is not a negative point. If you want peace and quiet, you are on the banks of the Dordogne. You have the option at the campsite to be on the edge of the lake. It is perfect for tranquility to recharge your batteries. I criticize this campsite for being recognized as four stars when it is worth three and even then and that they boast about certain services that are false. So we stayed four days instead of seven, we made the decision to go back down to our south because staying there was a waste of time, even if we lost money. We now know that we will not set foot there again.

  Lovely spot 10 meters from the river. The bathroom facilities are very clean and there's plenty of hot water for showering and washing dishes. Unfortunately, the receptionist only speaks French.
