Gimel les Cascades Towns & Villages in Gimel-les-Cascades

The heritage circuit of Gimel-les-Cascades (fr) allows you to discover the main attractions of the city, including its waterfalls. These waterfalls are among the most beautiful natural sites in Corrèze! When you announce your departure on vacation for Corrèze, it is likely that you will be advised to go there… It is the La Montane river which descends along the rocks by means of 3 very aesthetic waterfalls. To get there, you have to leave Parc Vuillier and take one of the marked trails. Please note that the path is steep (access to the park is subject to a charge). Regulars and connoisseurs know that there is a 4th waterfall! It is reached by a short hike, the Circuit de la Gour which requires an hour's walk (one way), there is also the Petit Circuit des Cascadelles which is interesting and crosses a footbridge. Gimel is also a pretty little village with craftsmen to meet, in a case of gray granite and the remains of a medieval castle (illuminated for the most beautiful effect in summer).

Do you like fishing? Go to the Etang de Ruffaud, 25ha to exercise your passion! And to swim near Gimel, meet at Lac de la Valette in Marcillac-la-Croisille, 230 ha of water for sports, leisure and swimming! It is a Sport Nature resort.
