About

  • English
    • Soursac is a small town with an interesting natural heritage and facilities. Come and discover the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs or Viaduc de Roche-Taillade is a suspension bridge that leads to the village of Lapleau, it dates from 1913 and is a listed historical monument. To appreciate the journey as much as the view, we recommend that you hike along the 3km educational circuit which lists 7 educational panels. In Lapleau, if you are still in shape, there is a 10km hike that winds through the Luzège gorges to the Neyrat waterfall.

South of Soursac, the Saut du Sali is a pretty waterfall to observe when the flow of water lends itself to it and which can be reached on foot at the cost of a small, fairly steep 2km walk. We pass by the south of the hamlet of breuil (it is easily found on GPS). To swim in the region, there is the river or the Pont Aubert lake, which is free, with a supervised beach in summer.

The Eagle dam straddles Corrèze and neighboring Cantal, on the Dordogne, south of Soursac. Moreover, following the course of the Dordogne downstream from the dam, you go to a place where there is a model of it and continuing you arrive at Spontour, where you can take a tour in a barge, with the barges of the Haute-Dordogne.
