Via Ferrata du Saillant Nature Reserves / Parks in Allassac

The Via Ferrata is an activity between hiking and climbing. You need a minimum of equipment: a helmet, good shoes and sports clothes, as well as a special strap to do the Via Ferrata with two long, two carabiners and a damping system. You can buy it in sports stores or online, but you can also rent it from some Tourist Offices.

The Via Ferrata du Saillant is very pretty. To get there, park in the Site de la Roche car park in Allassac . Then, you have to do an approach walk of about 15/20 minutes, before arriving at the first modules. There is a map and all the information to get you started. We recommend that you do not go with children under 8/10 years old, depending on their agility and resistance to vertigo. Some modules are high, others in the void. There is no physical difficulty but the configuration of the site makes the route sometimes impressive. At the end of the path along the rock face, you come back to the level of the orientation table and the car park. Have fun !
